HeRC Doctoral Training Scheme

Posted on February 7, 2014

The Health eResearch Centre (HeRC) has established a 3 year doctoral training scheme to fund PhD studentships across institutional partners – University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, Lancaster University, University of York and University of Bradford.

The centre develops and applies advanced methods to unlock and harness real-world evidence from health data across Northern England. Students will join a world-leading multidisciplinary e-research environment that promotes health discovery and innovation.

Students will be based at the institution of the main supervisor, but will form part of a HeRC Doctoral Training Network that will provide integrated and co-ordinated training from across collaborating institiutions. There will also be opportunity to transfer knowledge between sites and with external collaborators including NHS, industry partners and other academic institutions. Supervisors are drawn from across institutions and projects cover the main HeRC research themes and work-streams.
