The Centre for Women’s Mental Health would like to invite you to a two day dissemination event on digital innovations in prisons. The event will bring together service users, prison staff, charities and academics to discuss exciting new digital developments in prisons. The event is over two days – the first day will consist of presentations and the second day will include a series of workshops to showcase digital health innovations.

Confirmed speakers include Dr Sarah Bromley, the National Medical Director for Care UK Health in Justice who has developed digital innovations in prisons and Jason Morris from Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service who has worked on the Timewise digital intervention project. The programme includes a presentation from ex-offenders on their experiences in prison.

Day One (Monday 22nd July 2019) – Realising the Potential of Digital Innovations in Prisons

Day Two (Tuesday 23rd July 2019) – The Future of Digital Mental Health Practice Topics will include:

  • Co-producing digital content
  • Prison-based digital interventions for self-harm
  • Digital storytelling
  • Challenges and opportunities of digital interventions
  • Equivalence of care for people in prison
