Following on from the success of two previous years, the Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Sciences will be holding its 3rd Postgraduate Student Showcase in January 2019. The event will be held over two separate days on Monday 21st January and Thursday 24th January. The showcase will be an opportunity to hear about your fellow researchers’ work, with feedback provided by academics and other students in an informal and friendly environment. Both sessions are planned to run from 10 am to 5 pm.
All students are expected to submit an abstract for a talk. 1st-year students will be limited to 10 minutes whilst 2nd and 3rd years will have 15 minutes (including 5 min for discussion/ questions). Students who are writing up their PhD are not mandated to talk, however, can do so if they please. Topics from across the Division are encouraged, but please keep in mind a diverse audience, and so presentations should be written to be understandable without a need for a great deal of knowledge of your field .
