DataFest18 is a festival of data innovation run by The Data Lab, with events hosted across Scotland from 19th to 23rd March 2018.
Now in its second year, DataFest will showcase Scotland’s leading role in data on the international stage, while offering an unprecedented networking platform where you can interact with local and international talent, industry, academia and data enthusiasts.
Data innovation is disrupting all areas of our lives, from personal health to smart transport, from shopping to energy efficiency, from business to public services and beyond. The theme for the festival will focus on data driven innovation, and this year the programme will have a special focus on collaboration.
DataFest consists of four events running across Scotland
Data Summit: Data Summit is a two-day international conference presenting compelling insight of how data changes everything. With keynotes, panels, pitches and lots of inspiration.
Data Talent: An annual collider event that brings together aspiring data science and engineering students with employers from across the country.
Fringe Events: Events around Scotland exploring, hacking and debating data innovation. Events include meetups, hackathons, debates, public engagement and Data Science programmes.
Executive Dinner: A fun night of networking and discussion on data innovation for local and international senior leaders looking to develop data capabilities, discuss challenges and possible solutions, expanding their business through data or creating a business presence within Scotland. The dinner will feature a leading keynote speaker in the field of Data.
