The School of Health Sciences Research Committee in partnership with the library, media services and Policy@Manchester are delighted to announce an exciting one day event on how to enhance your research reach.
This will take place on Thursday 15th November 2018 in room G306 A&B within the Jean McFarlane building. Registration & coffee is between 9.00am – 9.30am and the event is due to finish at 4.30pm. This is open to all and will cover a series of presentations in the morning plus a choice of TWO out of FIVE workshops in the afternoon including:
• Workshop 1: ‘The Conversation’ (The Conversation is an independent source of news and views, sourced from the academic and research community and delivered direct to the public)
• Workshop 2: ‘Understanding Altmetrics’
• Workshop 3: ‘The internet for dissemination and engagement: Reddit, Kudos & social media’
• Workshop 4: ‘Research Evidence and the UK Parliament – An Introduction to Parliamentary Engagement: How parliament works and uses research and how researchers might get their research into Parliament’ (Parliamentary Outreach Team)
• Workshop 5: ‘Working with the media – what’s your news?’
