The event is the inaugural conference of the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data, a not-for-profit Institute formed recently to develop solutions and promote best practices in the quality, interoperability and trustworthy uses of health data, for optimising healthcare and knowledge discovery.
This initiative builds on the results of European projects such as EHR4CR, EMIF and SemanticHealthNet. The conference will showcase emerging best practice in the re-use of health data for research, the promotion of standards to support semantic interoperability, and the perspective of patients about the ways in which their health data should be better used.
The event is especially targeted at healthcare organisations e.g. hospitals, clinical research sponsors e.g. pharma, developers and users of interoperability standards, and importantly patients. The event will also present our joint effort of the EHR4CR project which now will be launched through the Champion Program.
