Media Training for Academics

The Division of Communications and Marketing is running two sessions of media training for academics on Thursday 24 November on campus, delivered by specialist company MediaFirst.
As someone who is working in one of our Research Beacon areas we’d like to invite you to attend one of these sessions.
The session will consist of your group working with experienced journalist Liz Mackean (biography attached) to help you understand how the media works and the techniques you can use to promote your research and expertise to the people you are interested in reaching.
These will be hands-on sessions tailored to your own work and a member of the University’s Media Relations Team will also be in attendance to answer any questions. Refreshments will also be provided.
Places are on a first come-first served basis, so please could you indicate your availability and preference for the following sessions by Tuesday 15 November:
