NeuroD, an initiative funded by the EPSRC invites you to a 2-day residential workshop to identify unmet needs and technology research opportunities for Neurodegenerative Diseases Research.
The aim of this activity is to engage Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) researchers with Dementia@Manchester, the University’s vehicle for contributing to the UK Dementia Platform. Although we currently have EPS researchers working on diagnosis, monitoring, intervention and prediction in Dementia and other Neurodegenerative Disease, the activity is in general not well connected to Dementia@Manchester, which has its centre of gravity in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (BMH). We plan a 2-day off-campus residential workshop which will bring together EPS researchers, BMH researchers, and external parties, in a format intended to allow in-depth interaction and to foster new research collaborations. This will be the first in a number of ‘NeuroD’ workshops which will identify potential synergies and cross-cutting themes, and develop a research roadmap on Dementia and other Neurodegenerative Disease technologies for the Faculty of Science and Engineering and EPSRC. For this inaugural workshop we are seeking attendees from all faculties and institutes across the University. This workshop will take place from 10:30 Tuesday 31st January – 15:00 Wednesday 1st February 2017 at Shrigley Hall Hotel, Cheshire. Overnight accommodation will be provided. To register your place for this event please use the link below. Spaces are limited and we will seek to ensure a spread of representation from across the University. For registrations received by 19th December we will confirm whether a place has been allocated by the 23rd of December. BOOK NOW |
